Most travelers visit Thailand’s beach destinations such as Krabi, Phuket and Phi Phi Island for its white, sandy beach, the sea and the sun. Outlet Village (Krabi)
This air-conditioned shopping mall in Ao Nang has several branded stores such as Fox, Billabong, Nike and Adidas as slightly lower prices. It is a huge mall, boasting of over 6,000 sqm. in floor space with more than 100 selected leading brands for all genders and ages. It opens daily from 11am to 9pm and you can definitely shop till you drop in this huge mall.
Vogue Department Store (Krabi)
Located in Krabi Town, Vogue Department Store offers quite a number of branded goods such as Guy Laroche and Levi’s for sale. The price of most of the items on sale can be up to about 50% lesser than what you usually pay for at your hometown. However, do note that the apparels are not very up-to-date. Other than that, you do not have to worry about it authenticity because the branded ones are 100% genuine. It has a Kentucky Fried Chicken food outlet and Swensen’s ice cream as well.
Jungceylon Mall (Phuket)
Jungceylon Mall is a massive shopping centre in Phuket boasting of 10 fastfood outlets, 40 apparel stores, a Robinson departmental store and Carrefour, the French hypermarket. Other than that, it also has a wide range of electronics and sports shops so this mall really has it all. It is a very commercialized mall, which is nicely furbished and decorated with a huge water fountain outside it. If you are looking for something good to eat, this is the place for you also! The mall is home to a wide range of cuisines such as European, Korean, Japanese and Chinese cuisines.
Phuket Homepro Village (Phuket)
This mall attracts mostly foreigners as all the signs you can see there are in English. They have a huge home improvement store, as well as the famous toy store, Toys R Us. On top of that, this mall also has a number of retail shops selling apparels, sports equipments, handicrafts and even electronic goods. The main attraction of this mall is its newly opened hypermarket – Villa Market. The market is very well stocked with quality wines, organic food, imported snacks, pet food, kitchenware and so much more. Phuket Homepro Village is definitely a pleasant place to go for grocery shopping, especially in the morning or late evening.
Villa Market is open from 8am to 10pm and is located at Chaofa West Road.
Tonsai Village (Phi Phi Island)
This is a must-go if you are in Phi Phi Island to make your holiday complete. Tonsai Village is a tourist’s paradise with all kinds of souvenirs, funny t-shirts, hats, sarongs, bags and handicrafts for sale. It also sells beach gears such as flip flops, mats and swimwear so if you forgot to bring yours, don’t have to worry so much. Apart from that, it also has a 7/11 convenient store and a bookshop! Just remember to put your bargaining skills to test when you are buying stuffs off those street stalls!
